Refund policy
This page covers the $50 screening deposit. Refunds of a consultation fee or a project retainer are governed by your signed engagement agreement, not by this page.
If the firm cannot take your matter
If we decline the engagement after the conflict-of-interest review, or because we do not have capacity, your $50 deposit is refunded in full and automatically. You do not need to ask.
If you cancel more than 24 hours ahead
Cancel more than 24 hours before the scheduled call and the deposit is refunded in full to your original payment method.
If you cancel inside 24 hours, or do not attend
The deposit is not refunded. It remains creditable in full toward a future screening, consultation or retainer for 90 days.
Consultation fees and retainers
Refunds of any consultation fee or project retainer follow the terms of your signed engagement agreement. Where this page and that agreement differ, the agreement governs.
Questions about a refund
Refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
