Book a Screening Call.
Required for New Clients.
All new client engagements begin with a 30-minute screening. The $50 screening fee is a low-cost opportunity to discuss your objectives, review materials submitted in advance, and determine whether the Firm is a good fit for your matter. The screening is an intake and evaluation meeting and is not intended to provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal strategy.
Choose a time
Before the call
Have a short description ready
What the product or technology does, in a few sentences. Keep it general at this stage.
Know your dates
Any launch, conference, publication or funding deadline. Timing frequently determines what options are still open to you.
Note anything already filed or signed
Existing filings, NDAs, contractor agreements or prior counsel. It changes the answer more often than people expect.
Send your documents ahead
Attach the filings, contracts or agreements you want looked at when you book. Reviewing them beforehand is what makes thirty minutes worth having.
What happens after the call
Conflicts check
We confirm there is no conflict with an existing client before going any further.
Scope and fee in writing
You receive the deliverable defined in writing with a flat fee against it, to approve or decline.
Engagement letter, then work
A signed engagement letter opens the matter and establishes the attorney client relationship. Only then does the work begin.
A paid screening call is limited to that call and does not by itself create an ongoing engagement. Representation begins only through a signed engagement letter.
